I almost didn’t go.

The thought of putting on makeup, finding something to wear, and making small talk felt exhausting.

But I showed up, black blazer, lace top, and my best “I can do this” energy—at a fundraiser dinner hosted by the Waterfall Foundation.

I didn’t realize how much I needed to be in that room.

The warmth, the handshakes, the hugs, the conversations—they pulled me out of my own head and reminded me that my work and my words matter.

This year has been the hardest year of my life. And tonight, I heard exactly what I needed: that what I’ve been sharing and doing, while in the depths of the void, matters.

Sometimes, the right night at the right table does more than fill your calendar.

It fills you.

And tonight, I left feeling like myself again.
